Unser Leistungsangebot

Die Erschließung neuer Wellenlängenbereiche vervielfältigt die Einsatzmöglichkeiten moderner Laserstrahlquellen in Industrie und Forschung. Hier werden Methoden der nichtlinearen Optik genutzt, um die Frequenz der Lasereinstrahlung z. B. gezielt auf die Absorption von Werkstück oder Messobjekt einzustellen.

Basierend auf nichtlinearen Frequenzkonvertern und parametrischen Strahlquellen hat das Fraunhofer ILT bereits Lösungen für eine große Bandbreite spezifischer Anforderungen realisiert: Einstellbare Wellenlängen zwischen UV und FIR, Zeitregime von ultrakurzen Pulsen bis zum kontinuierlichen Betrieb sowie mittlere Leistungen von einzelnen Milliwatt bis zu vielen hundert Watt und Pulsleistungen bis hundert Megawatt.

Neben der Optimierung etablierter Laserkonzepte mit Wellenlängen um 1 μm und darunter werden bisher ungenutzte Wellenlängenbereiche erschlossen, vor allem im langwelligeren Infrarot. Hier weisen viele technisch und wirtschaftlich interessante Materialklassen eine hohe Absorption auf. Kommerzielle und selbstentwickelte Software bildet dabei die Basis für das Design neuer Konverter ebenso wie für die Analyse und Optimierung existierender Systeme. Bei der Umsetzung verfügt das Fraunhofer ILT über einen gut bestückten Baukasten mit umfangreichen Aufbau- und Verbindungstechniken für Frequenzkonverter und Laser, die insbesondere für messtechnische Anwendungen gefragt sind. Im Bereich der Quantentechnologie werden parametrische Photonenpaarquellen und Frequenzkonverter u. a. für die Einsatzgebiete bildgebende Sensorik, datensichere Kommunikation sowie Computingnetzwerke entwickelt.

Das Fraunhofer ILT bietet Kunden aus Industrie und Forschung bedarfsgerechte Lösungen zur Umsetzung neuer Ideen sowie zur Optimierung von Optiken und Laserstrahlquellen sowie umfassende Beratung.
